Welcome to Women of Purpose United (WOPU). Ebony Kirton is the founder of this purposeful sisterhood. A mother of two blessed children and a devoted woman of God. Ebony is no stranger to trials and tribulations. She stands on the premise that, what God brings her to, He will bring her through. Ebony has been healed and restored from past trauma of sexual abuse, homelessness, surviving two stillbirth deliveries, persevered through three divorces, and an assault of her child. Ebony has been serving in ministry since her early 20's, having a heart to serve women and youth. In 2016, God commissioned her to facilitate a movement of healing and restoration of His daughters through a sisterhood called WOPU. An organization made for you! To be built up, encouraged, inspired, revered, seen and heard. Sis, you have a story to tell! You were called for purpose, let's answer together! Sister Queen, we welcome you!

La Reina Whatley's purpose for being a part of Women of Purpose United aligns deeply with her commitment to empowering and uplifting women through faith and mentorship. Her passion for creating safe, supportive spaces where women can thrive is reflected in Women of Purpose United's mission to build a united sisterhood rooted in love, healing, and restoration. By joining this community, La Reina can extend her advocacy for women's empowerment, using her leadership, experience, and faith to contribute to a nurturing environment where women feel heard, encouraged, and strengthened. Her dedication to restoring hope and fostering unity among women makes her an ideal contributor to the WOPU's mission.


Katina McMillian

Katina McMillian has over 20 years of experience working in the nonprofit community alongside her professional career. Katina developed a
strong sense of devotion to the nonprofit sector and a deeper appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life. This realization sparked the purpose of why WOPU is necessary.
Katina’s mission with WOPU is to help women who have experienced trauma or severe life stressors, that are not uncommon to unravel, but know that our passion is bringing healing, hope, and success out of the traumatic or stressful time they may have experienced. Katina assists with helping women find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole, and safe. Katina’s main objective and continuous Goal is to leverage her creativity and financial skills to develop visually compelling processes that meet and exceed the expectations of WOPU and its vision.
Ida Ruiz

Ida Ruiz has worked in the Social Services field for 16 years, investigating child abuse allegations and adoption services. She is passionate about helping individuals heal from traumatic and stressful life experiences. Ida's passion for the field of social work is influenced by her own adverse childhood experiences. She can attest to WOPU being a safe space and a community of women uplifting, empowering and celebrating one another. This is a support system that she and many other women need. As a member of WOPU, Ida's goal is to remind other women that they are not alone on this journey called life and we are here to not only offer support, but to create a sisterhood where we can find strength in each other. This is an opportunity to be apart of something bigger than yourself and we welcome you to witness the power of women coming together!

Ayesha Hodges has been an Educator throughout the DFW suburbs for over 16 years. A mother of 3 children and divorced, she has faced numerous challenges ranging from emotional abuse to a life-threatening autoimmune diseases. Through the trials and tribulations, Ayesha continues to set goals and achieve them one step at a time. She is now on a journey of rebuilding her self-love and trust with other people. She plans to inspire and mentor other women that face challenges that tend to interfere with the normal functioning of life. With God on her side, she will continue to believe and achieve.
When Ayesha think's of WOPU, she thinks of sisterhood, transparency, trust, faith, and community. Her purpose in being a part of WOPU is simple. She wants to serve and bring unity to other sisters while self-healing in the process. Being a part of a community of women that are committed to building unity through imbedding positivity, connection, elevation, and a sisterhood is imperative in the well-being of women. Erica Goosby

Erica Goosby is a dynamic leader, veteran, and entrepreneur whose diverse journey has shaped her passion for empowering women to rise in purpose. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, with roots also in Fresno and Los Angeles, Erica proudly served five years in the U.S. Navy before transitioning into a career in public relations, promotions, and event management. Her experiences working with artists and businesses, along with her entrepreneurial drive from an early age, ultimately led her to build her own brand, Motha Goose. Erica’s path reflects resilience, creativity, and a deep commitment to carving out opportunities for herself and others.
Erica brings with her a wealth of knowledge, resourcefulness, and a heart for community impact. She is committed to helping WOPU expand its reach by tapping into resources that drive visibility, funding, and long-term growth. Aligned with WOPU’s mission to support women in discovering and walking boldly in their God-given purpose, Erica is dedicated to ensuring that every woman has access to the tools, exposure, and encouragement needed to thrive. She believes in the power of sisterhood, faith, and service, and she is honored to contribute her gifts to help strengthen the future of WOPU.
